The 14th season of Kanaliiga’s Rocket League was played in the spring. There were some memorable games along the way and finally the winners of the league levels were determined on the final day for all league levels!

Reaktor out of Åboost, whose players all work at Reaktor’s Turku office, cleared their way to become the winner of the highest, i.e. Champions series level!

“Our team consists of four players from Turku. The last two seasons have been played with the Turku team, which has undoubtedly brought benefits when we have been able to play split-screen in the office. Otherwise, this lineup will not play much outside of the Kanaliiga. This season was quite hectic, as the decision to start the season was only made after the official registration period had closed due to scheduling challenges. Fortunately, we got Spippa as a substitute player, so we dared to go this season also for this season.”

This season, the captain of the team was Volgo Juceer, while he was busy with captaincy in other leagues. Volgo’s first season as captain was crowned with the brightest award at the end of the season.

The hours played by the Reaktor team in Rocket League vary widely. The newest member of the team, Spippa, practically started from scratch at the beginning of the season, while Juceer has about 2,000 playing hours. Tupevi and Volgo each have just under a thousand playing hours. As an interesting anecdote, Juceer has the 25th fastest All Achievements on the Play Station Network. He can therefore be considered a kind of pioneer of the game!

According to the team, the secret to the team’s victory is active speech and an aggressive playing style. In the first games, Spipa’s task was mainly to disrupt the opponent while the team’s more experienced team members took care of scoring and building the game. As the season progressed, the joy of playing began to be found for every member of the team, which certainly contributed to Reaktor out of Åboost winning the whole season!

Rocket League will be back again next fall for a new season! S15 registration is open and you can join on the tournament registration page!
