DNA’s Prize Cabinet is already waiting for the championship pot, says Jasper “Hebser” Lemivaara

CGI Fyysinen Preesens had time to celebrate three consecutive championships in the Kanaliiga PUBG Squad seasons 12, 13 and 14. In season 15, the team’s winning streak was broken when DNA’s Denarit, who had been in the top bracket for several seasons, reached the peak of the highest series level of the Kanaliiga PUBG Squad tournament in the middle of the season, keeping the lead until the end of the season.

The DNA Denares game was not about any total crushing. In addition to two big scoring days, the team managed to score almost all available points in a tight league level with smart play and sometimes very tactical individual performances. At the end of the season, there was a clear 35 points behind CGI Fyysinen Preesensin, who came in second.

“I don’t know if we succeeded particularly well. Since the league level was played for 15 teams instead of 16 in previous seasons, it felt like there was a lot of space on the field. Also the superiority of CGI (Physical Presence) had either been caught, or the team underperformed.” Team captain Jasper “Hebser” Lemivaara sums up.

DNA’s winning team consists of players from all over Finland, from Kajaani and Oulu to Helsinki. Most of DNA’s Kanaliiga players are from Helsinki. The composition and duties of DNA Denares in the company were as follows:

Jasper “Hebser” Lemivaara, Telecommunications expert Eerik “Linux_Eki” Uusi-Illikainen, Telecommunications expert Niko “Puli-Arska” Uusiportimo, Sales Negotiator Jere *Teletapp0” Kärki, Sales Negotiator

Looking at the statistics, you can’t help but notice that the double team Hebser - Puli-Arska played a key role in the team’s championship. The duo also took a handsome double victory in the frigate statistics, which in part speaks to the team’s dynamism. In role-playing, it was also the task of the other players to consciously play a little slower and make sure that at least the whole team does not remain “open-mouthed” in game terms, Lemivaara elaborates.

The broadcasts showed that Hebser and Puli-Arska (more familiarly shortened to just “Puli”) played closely together. The two have spent a lot of time together on the playing fields, which was visible in the seamlessness and ease and was certainly one of the biggest factors in the end result of the season and the frag statistics.

“We’ve been playing PUBG together since the Beta test, and the more competitive games both started from the same teams. In addition to the thousands of hours played independently, there are at least more than 2,000 game hours together. On a couple of occasions, we have also managed to meet live!”, Lemivaara states.

Success and playing on the PUBG fields has also carried DNA into workplace discussions, both in teams and at coffee tables. The buzz has been intense and the matches have also interested non-playing employees. Broadcasts are also actively watched.

For the 16th season, DNA Denarit starts with basically the same lineup and a new vibe. According to Lemivaara, with the championship, squeezing the racket too much has been eliminated.

Finally, Lemivaara is asked if there was anything left unmentioned and he answers:

“Thank you to all the players, organizers and especially the presenters! We have been able to enjoy really high-quality narration throughout the season.”

Kanaliiga PUBG Squad S16 will start in winter 2026. Registration and the season schedule will be announced later.
