The City of Espoo is a partner of the Kanaliiga finals event, held on Saturday 17 May 2025 at Cave Entertainment’s event space in Otaniemi. Kanaliiga is a Finnish esports organiser that, as far as we know, runs the world’s largest corporate esports league. Espoo sees gaming culture as an important part of life for people of all ages, and of the city’s own history. Video games are among the most popular pastimes for 20–29-year-olds, the same group that covers much of the future talent Espoo and Finland need.

Esports and gaming culture have long been visible in Espoo, from major events to school LANs, from youth-work gaming clubs to the Finnish Model for Leisure Activities and game development. Now Espoo is also showcasing esports as a source of wellbeing at work: the Kanaliiga CS2 finals bring the best corporate esports teams to the city.

“It is great to see so many companies represented in Kanaliiga. These companies have understood that they need to change with the coming generations. They might once have had a casual football team; now esports has brought a whole new angle to that.” – Kimmo Leinonen, Planner, City of Espoo

This year’s Kanaliiga CS2 LAN finals are a rare chance to watch the finals live and get to know Kanaliiga’s partners and Cave Entertainment’s venue. Attendees need to fill in the registration form.

The event is free and a great way to get to know esports. Come and experience the best moments of esports in Espoo!
